Posted at 4:20 PM, Mar 23, 2023 A WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued for the higher terrain of central, southwest and southern Montana. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for the Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountains, and for parts of central Montana. Another early spring storm will produce a significant amount of snow through the first weekend of spring, with the heaviest accumulation across western and southern Montana. March thus far has been snowy with temperatures running 10-15 below average for most of the state, and this pattern could continue into April.
